videographer
Chateau Neercanne

Chantal + Maykel / Chateau Neercanne, Belgium

Why did you specifically choose Christina Nicholas as your videographer?

During our search for a videographer, your name kept coming up. Everywhere we looked, we read enthusiastic reviews about your approach, your warm personality, and your ability to truly capture a wedding day. The more we saw and heard, the clearer it became that you were exactly what we were looking for in a videographer: engaged, authentic, and incredibly skilled at storytelling. It immediately felt like the right choice.

Why did you choose to have a wedding film and have your day filmed?

We wanted a wedding film because it allows you not just to see your day, but to feel it again. Photos preserve memories, but a wedding film brings them to life: the voices, the movements, the tension, and the love. It is something you can relive for the rest of your life, over and over again. That is why we consciously chose a videographer. Nothing captures the atmosphere and emotions of a wedding as intensely as film, and for us, that was the most beautiful way to preserve our day forever.

Why did you choose Château Neercanne as your wedding venue?

For us, Château Neercanne was the ultimate choice. It is such a rare place in the Netherlands where elegance and romance come together naturally. When you stand among the terraces and look out over the valley, it feels like you are in southern France. That mix of grandeur, gentle charm, and timeless atmosphere made it the perfect wedding location for us. It was an environment that is not just beautiful, but that truly makes you feel something. Exactly what we were looking for on our day.

Do you have any advice you would like to share with other couples?

Weddings fly by. It is rare to have all your loved ones in one place, especially when you live abroad. Even rarer is finding the time to share as many special moments with everyone as you would like. So take a moment to pause during the day. Appreciate what is happening around you.

On a personal note

Carlos: When someone who runs one of the biggest record labels asks you to make their wedding film, as a videographer you immediately feel that there is something extra musical at stake. I have a strong love for music, but in such a moment a doubt creeps in. Do I choose a safe option, or do I dare to put my own vision into it? I decided to go with the latter. While searching for the right sound, I found two versions of the same track: a subdued, almost classical piano piece and a powerful electronic version. Instead of choosing, I combined both worlds and wove them into one unified trailer. The groom’s reaction was priceless. He heard exactly what I had done, got goosebumps, and said he could not stop watching their film again and again. These small choices may not be immediately noticeable to the viewer, but they determine the soul and balance of a wedding film. Music provides direction, nuance, and rhythm. It is the undercurrent I build on as a videographer. That is why it feels extra special when someone notices and appreciates those details. And when, after delivering the Docu Edit, someone asks for all the tracks because they loved them so much, that is a moment to be proud of.
